PASO ROBLES, Calif. – Enrollment remains open for Cuesta College Community Programs’ College for Kids Junior Camps at the North County Campus in Paso Robles, offering youth ages 6–12 the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on learning experiences this summer.
For the first time, College for Kids Junior Camps are being offered at Cuesta College’s North County Campus, expanding access to educational enrichment opportunities for families in North San Luis Obispo County. Camps run Monday through Thursday in one-week sessions from June 8 through July 16 and feature engaging programs including Chemical Creations, AI Smartcore 4 Robot, RECO Robot, and Future Engineers.
“This expansion allows more local families to access the high-quality learning experiences College for Kids has provided for nearly 40 years,” said Frankie Maldonado, Community Programs Coordinator. “Students get the chance to become scientists, inventors, engineers, and robot designers through fun, hands-on activities that build creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.”
Now celebrating its 39th year, College for Kids has provided thousands of local children with educational enrichment opportunities designed to spark curiosity and foster a love of learning. The Junior Camps program has been serving young learners for 15 years.
Scholarship support is available for qualifying families attending North County Campus camps, with partial scholarships also available for select San Luis Obispo Campus programs. The scholarships help ensure more children can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
Parents consistently praise the program's impact.
“This camp gave my child a chance to explore new interests, build confidence, and make lasting friendships. We are grateful for the experience,” shared one parent.
Registration is ongoing, but space is limited.
