NCTE 701 - Academic Fundamentals
In this course a menu of high-interest topics provides framework for advancement of student skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking and math. Computers, current events, music, performing arts, job exploration, leadership, and social awareness are examples of learning activities geared to advance skills while encouraging safe, meaningful and self-determined lives for students with developmental disabilities.

NCTE 705 - Transition Readiness Preparation
Designed to support academic, social and study skills, Transition Readiness emphasizes organization, planning, time management and problem-solving. Students with goals to advance in certificate or degree programs apply strategies they learn in class to daily challenges encountered on campus, at work, or in their community life. Direct instruction and peer support combine to promote self-awareness and emotional regulation. Suggested pre-requisite: GED or high school diploma.

NCTE 730 - Wellness Arts for Work and College Success
In Wellness Arts, visual art experiences become tools for personal development and well-being. Art activities combine with an understanding of the fundamentals of wellness to teach emotional awareness and positive coping strategies, while offering a stimulating creative experience to students of every ability.
