Pathway Steps:

Do you want to complete a Paraprofessional degree, or not sure if you want to teach Career and Technical Education in the future?  

Our AA in Paraprofessional Educator/Preteaching degree may be right for you. 

Students following this pathway will need to follow destination transfer school GE Pattern. 
Be sure to take the Career Technical Education Teacher Concentration of this degree 

CTE Pathways may vary depending on industry sector

Below are general guidelines to meet CTE teaching credential requirements: 

  • 48 units & 1,000 hours of work experience in CTE industry sector
  • 24 units & 2,000 hours of work experience in CTE industry sector
  • 3,000 hours of work experience in CTE industry sector

After completion:

  • Apply for your Preliminary Teaching Credential and become a California teacher!
