As a part of a scheduled Measure L bond project, Cuesta College will close its Aquatic Center Complex in May. Before that time, the public is invited to take part in the Community and Family Fun Day at the Pool on Saturday, April 28, from 12:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The event kicks off with Cuesta College representatives providing Aquatic Center Complex updates from 12:45 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.; the free swim session is available to all from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The San Luis Obispo Campus Aquatics Center project includes the replacement of two existing pools on campus with a 50-meter competition-sized pool, and a 25-yard teaching pool. A new restroom on the pool deck will also be added. The pool deck and draining system will be replaced, as well as the starting blocks and diving boards. The project also includes American with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades to the 1000 Complex restrooms, shower areas, door hardware, and some site accessibility upgrades. Construction is scheduled to begin summer of 2018 and is set for completion in the fall of 2019. For more information on Measure L projects, visit www.cuestacollegebond.info.

The pool will remain open to the public until Thursday, May 3. For more information on the aquatics activities scheduled to take place before that time, visit the Cuesta College Community Programs Aquatics homepage.
