Edúcate-Sí Se Puede Conference 2024

Edúcate- Sí Se Puede is an inspirational conference for high school students in San Luis Obispo County. This conference will empower and motivate students to pursue higher education, encourage them to overcome barriers, understand that they can achieve their goals, and expose students to a myriad of educational and career paths. 

 

 

Our 2024 Conference Keynote Speaker:

Ernie G

 

Ernie G is an Award Winning Empowerment Comedian, a 2-time TEDx
Speaker & a Certified Mental Health Coach! He has been seen by millions on TV
shows, such as Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh,” B.E.T.’s “Comic View,” and is
one of the original stars of the hit show “Qué Locos!” hosted by George Lopez! He has
appeared on HBO Max’s “Habla Again,” Vice TV’s “The Dark Side of Comedy,”
and as “The Angry Angeleno” from the Ch.13 News!

 A graduate of Loyola Marymount University with his B.A. in Psychology and a
Minor in Chicano Studies, Ernie has developed his own unique form of Comedy he calls
“Latino Edutainment – Educating and Entertaining with a Latino Flavor!”
He has spoken for the country’s top National Orgs & Corporations, including Disney,
PepsiCo, General Mills, Warner Bros, the U.S. Armed Forces, NASA: Langley Research
Center, Lockheed Martin, AltaMed & St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 Ernie was honored with the 1st-ever Mario Moreno “Cantínflas” Award for
“...representing the L.A. community with the same humor & distinction as the
legendary Mario Moreno “Cantínflas!” He received the Nix Financial “Father of the
Community” Award & the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s “Influential Leader”
Award for his Inspiring work in the Latino Community. He appeared with several
Global Impact Leaders such as The Dalai Lama, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith & Tony
Robbins in ‘The Most Inspirational Film of 2020’ - “WeRiseUP” - as he Empowers
Students, Staff, Educators & Dreamers of all kinds to ‘Let YOUR Light Shine!’
