Chromebooks and Hotspots
Chromebooks and Hotspots are available for semester checkout to students only, due to limited supply. If devices are available, staff and faculty may request check out on a case-by-case, short-term rental basis. To check on availability and reserve a Chromebook, email circulation@cuesta.edu
Students must complete the Electronic Device Agreement in English or en Español when checking out Chromebooks, Hotspots, and/or other electronic devices. Filling out this form before you come to the library can save time during the check-out process.
Pick up Chromebooks and Hotspots at either SLO or NCC locations. Please bring a picture ID or proof of your schedule and Cuesta 900 number. The device check-out process takes 10-15 minutes.
Group Study Rooms
Group study rooms are available in both the SLO campus Library and NCC campus Library. Our study rooms are outfitted with various amenities, including whiteboards.
We are proud to offer a Family-Friendly Study Room equipped with books, toys, and a small couch for our students with children (SLO Library only).
There is a select number of study rooms available for reservations. Remaining rooms may be used on a drop-in basis. To reserve a group study room, please follow these instructions:
- Log into your myCuesta portal and select Cuesta Connect
- Click Welcome to Cuesta College (current students), or click the orange icon for Future Cougars/Prospective Students (for non Cuesta students)
- Click on Study Rooms
- Find your preferred Study Room, then click the calendar icon beneath it
- Select Meeting Date, Room (Filter by Moderator), Reason for Meeting, Location, and Time (click show more for hourly appointments)
- Click Schedule Appointment
- A confirmation icon will appear at the top of your screen and you will receive a confirmation email
Computer Labs, Tech, and Canvas Support
Computer labs are open at both campuses with computer, WiFi, printing and copying services.
Student Technology Support is available to all current Cuesta College students. Please visit the Cuesta Technical Support webpage for more info about their in-person and virtual services.
Textbooks and Books
E-mail circulation@cuesta.edu with any questions about checking out books and reserve textbooks. Don't know which book you need? Ask a Librarian.
Course reserve textbooks can be picked up at either SLO or NCC locations. Some are available online in eBook form.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service through which current students and employees may request print and audio-visual materials not owned or accessible by Cuesta College library. Visit our ILL guide for more information and to access the ILL request form.
Returning Library Items
Books
Return books in the outdoor book-drops on either SLO or NCC campuses.
Chromebooks or Calculators
Return indoors at SLO Library circulation desk (3200) or NCC Library circulation desk (N3100) during open hours.
