Cuesta LSAMP Program Benefits

The Cuesta LSAMP program provides both academic and non-academic support opportunities for its students. 

Who is eligible to apply?

To be eligible for the Cuesta LSAMP Program, students must: 

  1. identify as belonging to one of the following groups defined by the National Science Foundation (NSF):
    • African American, Hispanic American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Native Pacific Islander.
  2. be majoring in a STEM field.  Medical field related majors are not eligible.
  3. be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

How to Apply

Fill out the Program Interest Form.  After you submit the interest form, you will recieve a welcoming email from the program lead Gabi (Gabriel) Cuarenta-Gallegos.

*Students who do not meet all eligibility requirements do not need to apply to attend LSAMP events. Events are open to all students.
