Livescan/Fingerprinting services are offered by the Cuesta College Police Department by appointment only. Please call (805) 546-3205 to make an appointment.
What is needed for Live Scan (finger-printing) transactions:
Prior to initiating a Live Scan (Finger-printing) transaction, the Applicant must
have all of the following:
- An appointment must be scheduled
- A valid form of photo identification (see below)
- A completed "Request for Live Scan Service" form
- An acceptable method of payment (cash, check, credit card) or waiver
Acceptable Primary forms of photo identification include any one (1) of the following:

- California Driver's License
- Department of Motor Vehicles Identification Card
- Out-of-State Driver's License

In the absence of a Primary form of photo identification, one (1) or more of the following must be provided as a Secondary form of identification, PLUS at least two (2) of the following Supplement documents below:
- State Government Issued Certificate of Birth
- US Active Duty/Retiree/Reservist Military Identification card (00 10-2)
- US Passport
- Federal Government Personal Identity Verification Card (PIV)
- Dept. of Defense Common Access Card
- US Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Identification Card
- Social Security Card
- Court Order for Name Change/Gender Change/Adoption/Divorce
- Marriage Certificate
- US Government Issued Consular Report of Birth Abroad
- Foreign Passport with Appropriate Immigration Document(s)
- Certificate of Citizenship (N560)
- Certificate of Naturalization (N550)
- INS I-551 Resident Alien Card issued since 1997
- INS I-688 Temporary Resident Identification Card
- INS I-688B, I-766 Employment Authorization Card
Secondary PLUS at least two (2) of the following Supplement documents:
- Utility Bill
- Jurisdictional Voter Registration Card
- Vehicle Registration Card
- Paycheck Stub with Name/Address
- Jurisdictional Public Assistance Card
- Spouse/Parent Affidavit
- Cancelled Check or Bank Statement
- Mortgage Documents
Applicants can check the status of their background check, by visiting the State of California Department of Justice page at https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/ and entering the ATI number and their Date Of Birth.
