Better every year! During the last few years we've had a great time with Bob Reynolds, Wayne Bergeron, The Big Phat Band, Kneebody, saxophone master Ernie Watts, trombone great Andy Martin, Bob Sheppard, Bob McChesney and Dave Douglas a great line up of Judges and great bands.

FRIDAY EVENING CONCERT:  This year Dave Tull will be giving a concert on Friday night March 13th with the Cuesta Jazz Ensembles, tickets for $15/10 or preordered with registration for $10. The location of the concert is the CPAC (our theater) at 8 pm.  Dave Tull is an amazing drumming, a gifted clinician and a great guy and this is sure to be a great concert that will appeal to everyone.

Dave Tull will give a clinic/peroformance at noon on Saturday on our main stage and a smaller clinic on Friday at 1pm in room 7160.

AWARDS PRESENTATION  Individual performance awards, scholarships, and group placement honors will be presented in the CPAC at the end of the competition on Saturday at about 6pm.

Judges Comments: are digital audio files at web links that are given to the directors. Every effort will be made to supply a video of the performance in addition to the comments.  If directors want to bring their own SD cards (8GB, class 4 or better) they can, otherwise a card will be supplied and returned with the judges sheets.

Equipment: We will supply guitar and bass amps, drum sets and chairs and stands in both the warm up room and performance site. Drummers should bring their own cymbals, hi-hat stand and bass pedal. Those using amps should bring their own cables. There will be a set of vibes available.

Food: On Saturday we will be selling pizza, snacks and beverages from about 11 until we run out for a reasonable cost as well as snacks that are available all day.  Our school cafeteria will be open on Friday.

Judges: We do our best to have the best possible judging pannel so that this is the best possible learning situation for each student and this year we have some very fine judges.
