- A definitive research tool for nursing and allied health resources, covering over 50 nursing specialties, speech and language pathology, nutrition, general health, medicine and more.
- The Chronicle of Higher Education
- The No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.
- Country Background Notes
- Detailed information provided by the U.S. State Department on countries throughout the world.
- Country Watch
- Provides up-to-date news and information on each of the recognized countries of the world.
- Credo Reference Academic Core
- Provides full-text online versions of about 1,200 published reference works in a variety of subjects, including general and subject dictionaries as well as encyclopedias.
- Gale Opposing Viewpoints
- A rich database of resources including pro/con viewpoints on today’s hottest social
issues and many others. Great for controversial issues.
- Medline
- An authoritative bibliographic database containing citations and abstracts for biomedical and health journals used by health care professionals, nurses, clinicians and researchers.
- NewsBank
- Database of local, regional, national and international newspapers, including online-only newspapers, blogs, newswires, journals, broadcast transcripts and videos. Great resource for local issues - includes SLO Tribune.
- New Times
- San Luis Obispo County’s news and entertainment weekly, covering local news, politics, opinion, food, wine, arts, and entertainment.
- Population Reference Bureau
- Provides comprehensive information about population, health, and the environment.
- PsycARTICLES
- Database of peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology.
- PsycINFO
- Database of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations in behavioral science and mental health.
- Public Library of Science
- An open access database of journals and other scientific literature available for free under an open content license.
- World News Research Collection
- A news database of local, regional, national and international newspapers, newswires, blogs, videos, journals, magazines, transcripts, and more.
