Application Checklist:

1. READ the entire Cuesta College Paramedic Application Instruction Packet (pdf) before you apply for detailed application instructions and due dates. 

2. APPLY for student admission to Cuesta College.

3. CONTACT the Counseling Department for questions about prerequisites, course equivalencies from other colleges, etc.

4. SUBMIT official, sealed transcripts for pre-requisite coursework completed at colleges other than Cuesta, to Cuesta College Admissions and Records no later than the last day of the application period.  NOTE: Foreign Transcripts must be officially submitted no later than two weeks before the application deadline to allow sufficient time for processing.

5. PREPARE the following supplemental documents/forms to upload with your online application (see the application instruction packet for details):

 a.  Proof of California Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification (or Letter of Good Standing for in-progress training)
 b.  Unofficial transcripts verifying academic pre-requisites and high school graduation, GED or college degree received.
 c.  Letter of Good Standing (for applicants with pre-requisite academic courses in progress)

6. COMPLETE the Paramedic Online Application fully between March 1 and April 30 by 4:00 p.m. PST.  All applicable supporting documentation must be submitted at the same time you submit your application and by the application deadline.  Once started, applications cannot be saved so prepare all information and documents before you start. ONCE SUBMITTED, NO CHANGES OR ADDITIONS CAN BE MADE TO YOUR APPLICATION. Plan ahead to submit early! The deadline for applications is April 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. PST.  No late or in progress applications will be accepted. 

7.  REFER to the Paramedic Application Instruction Packet for important and time-sensitive information including notification dates regarding eligibility and admission status.
