EMS Programs Mission Statement

The mission of the Cuesta College EMS Program is to provide the highest educational standards for students preparing to become prehospital care providers in a supportive learning environment. We strive to teach our students the highest quality of prehospital emergency care, with the expectation that each will practice the same standard of excellence that we hold for ourselves. We aspire to impart the importance of providing professional, non-discriminatory care for all people in their time of crisis. Our goal is to have our graduates enter their public servant careers as competent, ethical, and confident entry-level health care practitioners who are committed to professional development through lifelong learning.

Questions?

We are pleased to announce that we now have an in-house Academic Counselor and an Enrollment Success Specialist to help you get started in our program. For information on how to become a student at Cuesta, transferring to or from Cuesta, priority registration status, or the registration process, please contact our Enrollment Success Specialist,  Anel Gutierrez-Orozco at (805) 592-9771. Once you have a Cuesta student ID, you can make an appointment with our Academic Counselor, Cindy Stever, to evaluate your transcript(s), create a student education plan, and help with course equivalencies and program pre-requisites. You can book an appointment with Cindy on the Counseling website by clicking here.
