Historical European Martial Arts: Saber and Highland Broadsword
These weapons have similar origins, each earning fame during Napoleonic Wars. In relation to the manuals of the time, the two are almost identical in fight strategy. This class will draw heavily from the manuals of Roworth and the later Hutton. New students will learn footwork, cuts, guards and history of the single-handed sword fighting system. Returning students will build on the exercises presented in past classes.
