Jr. Camps Week 4: July 3 – July 6 (no class 7/4)

- Registration for each workshop will close 2 weeks prior to the workshop start date to allow for shipping of class materials. Please contact CommunityPrograms@cuesta.edu for potential registration within 2 weeks of the start date. Additional fees for shipping costs may be incurred for enrollment after the closing date for registration.
- All students should bring a nut-free snack and a water bottle to each session.
- If registering for two camps in the same week, students will have a supervised lunch period from 12:00-12:30pm and must bring a nut-free lunch.
13-in-1 Solar Robot (Ages 5-7) - Register Online

In this workshop we explore the basics of robotics, electricity, and solar energy using your very own 13-in-1 solar robot kit to take home at the end of the week. Learn how to build a gear, use a basic motor, and create robots with different forms and functions. Use our free build and robotics kits to create your own designs. Come join us for some robot fun!
Build-a-Thon (Ages 5-7) - Register Online

This workshop is all about building! Learn the basics of the Engineering Design Process by using your very own building kit to keep at the end of the week. Use our build kits to create new constructions every day - and then knock them down at the end! Learn to use basic tools safely to construct using cardboard and other materials to invent and make your own designs. Come build up some fun!
Agent992 Robot (Ages 7-9) - Register Online

Build and take home your very own Agent992 Robot! This smart undercover robotics kit will entertain and teach infra-red capabilities to inquisitive minds. It consists of 140 assembly pieces and is equipped with an infrared radar so it can capture its surrounding conditions! A classified press-button switch instructs your Agent992 Robot to transform into 3 investigative modes: Forward mode, Gesture Control mode, and Auto Navigation mode. Forward mode executes basic forward direction where its eyes turn red. Use your hand’s forward and backward motion to guide your robot when Gesture Control mode is activated, and its eyes turn blue. Compete with your classmates by designing obstacles or maze courses! Agent992 Robot’s Auto Navigation Mode will set it on its secret mission as its eyes turn purple and automatically avoids obstacles on its own. This super cool robot is educational, entertaining, and fun!
Electricity & Magnetmania (Ages 7-9) - Register Online

Learn all about electronics, magnetism, and more in this fun and educational hands-on workshop! Take part in our Minds in Motion electronic lab and take home your very own circuit kit. With the aid of your instructor, simply follow the colorful pictures in your manual to build up to 100 exciting projects such as a flying saucer, alarm, and doorbell! All parts are mounted on plastic modules and snap together with ease. You will also take part and witness many cool magnetic experiments including making and taking home the World’s Simplest Motor! Watch electricity being produced by a hand held generator and take part in a cool activity involving a very powerful magnet. Behold a special magnetic top levitating and much much more!
