Medical and Therapy Resources
Free therapy available through the County of San Luis Obispo
In response to an increased need for mental health services during these challenging times, SLO Hotline has added two new features to better support our Central Coast communities:
-
- Brief Therapy Clinic - Provides short-term therapy with sessions ranging once a week for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Texting Services - new Texting Service is now available Monday through Friday, from 10am-2pm. Just text 805-783-0607 during hours of operation to begin a text conversation.

Emergency care is just a call away
Tele-ER Visits with Local Doctors
How it Works
-
- We have a dedicated phone number; 805-546-7990
- An emergency medicine nurse working in the ER answers the call to understand what is ailing the caller
- If call is appropriate for a tele-visit, a Zoom invite is texted to caller and they can have a safe, encrypted, virtual visit with an Emergency physician working at our ED
Benefits
-
- 24/7 access with a local Board-Certified Emergency Physician
- If caller has ever been seen at one of our facilities, the physician has full access to patient history allowing for more comprehensive visit
- Our emergency care team can help determine if the caller needs to be seen in-person at an ED or not (helps avoid unnecessary visits to hospital)
Cost
-
- If caller has Medicare, total visit is about $20 out of pocket
- If commercial insurance, like Blue Shield, etc, insurance has been covering the virtual visit
- There are additional resources available for those who are un-insured (we have a team that would speak with the caller prior to the virtual visit to ensure no surprise billing)
